Beirut: A Lebanese diplomat has been appointed to form a new govt in crisis-hit Lebanon on Mon. after winning the backing of main political parties.
President Michel Aoun inquired Lebanon’s ambassador to Germany, Mustapha Adib, to form a new govt after he secured 90 votes within the 128-member parliament.
Adib informed journalists his own number 1 priority going to be to quickly form a govt able to execute critical reforms to regain the trust of the Lebanese & Intl. society.
His own appointment comes weeks after a devastating explosion in Beirut. The nation is also mired in a serious economic crises.
