Parliament LIVE Updates: All main opposition parties going to boycott the Lok Sabha over the anti-farmers’ invoices urged by this govt & were dissenting ahead of the Mahatma Gandhi Statue inside the Parliament complex. Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad, who met President Ram Nath Kovind on behalf of the opposition parties, stated the govt must have consulted all parties & farmer chiefs before bringing the farm invoices. “The opposition parties have appealed President Ram Nath Kovind to repatriate the farm invoices, their own passage is unconstitutional,” Azad stated after gathering the President.
The Parliament on Wed. sanctioned 3 key labor reform invoices that going to delete impediments for winding up of businesses & permit firing of employees without govt permission in companies with as many as 300 labour. Amidst boycott by opposition parties involving Congress & Left over suspension of 8 MPs, Rajya Sabha moved by voice vote the 3 rest labor codes on industrial relations, social security & occupational safety. The 3 codes have been moved by Lok Sabha on Tue. & these going to as of now be sent to the President for his own assent. Replying to the discussion on the 3 labor reforms invoices, Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar stated, “The purpose of labor reforms is to give a transparent system to suit the turned business environment.”
