Hyderabad Metro announces new guidelines as services start next week

Hyderabad(Hyd): The Hyderabad(Hyd) Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is all set to reopen its solutions for people from Sep 7, after over 5 mos. Within the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic, the center discontinued the metro rail solutions within the last week of Mar.

To avoid overcrowding in the station, the Hyderabad(Hyd) Metro Rail Limited on Thu. declared new instructions for racing metro rails.

Implementing a review gathering on Thu. with all this Sr. authorities, Managing Director of HMRL, NVS Reddy spoke on the preparedness & safety steps to be taken for restart of Hyderabad(Hyd) Metro rail solutions.

Metro activities going to be resumed phase-wise in a graded way from that Seven of this mo (Mon.). The stages which were spread over the next couple of days going to be declared soon.  The stations in confinement areas (regarding Five stations) going to be closed for passenger traffic.

Broad Instructions & Standard Functioning Process (SOP) for restart of Hyderabad(Hyd) metro rail solutions are as follows:

1. Frequency of trains going to be about Five minutes; it’ll be enhanced (or) decreased on the basis of passenger traffic & to avoid crowding.

2. to make sure physical distancing, suitable markings in stations & inside trains are being finished for passengers to stand. Alternate seats going to be marked x inside the train & kept vacant.

3. Physical distancing would be monitored using CCTV by OCC, Station controller & Train Operators.

4. Wearing a face mask is mandatory for everyone passengers & employees. Metro Rail going to make arrangements for delivery of face masks on payment basis to the people arriving without mask. Suitable penalty according to regulation shall be enforced for any violation.

5. Only asymptomatic people going to be permitted to travel after thermal testing in entry into the stations.  Symptomatic people would be advised to go to close by COVID Care Center/Hospital (3) for checking/medical attention. Utilize of Aarogys-Setu Application would be encouraged.

6. Pedal type sanitizers going to be kept in entry into the stations for utilize by passengers.

7. Proper PPE kits & sanitizers going to be given to employees/ security personnel, who’re likely to be in proximate contact with commuters & for longer duration.

8. Discussing the potential of Coronavirus to spread quickly, security personnel/ private guards were directed to make sure sufficient safety awhile frisking commuters without diluting security drills.

9. Clever Card & Mobile QR tickets with cashless/on-line transactions going to be encouraged.

10. Passengers going to be advised to travel with min. luggage & avoid carrying metallic items for easy & quick scanning. They’ll be encouraged to carry a small bottle of sanitizer with them.

11. Parking spaces would be opened for the metro clients according to instructions.

12. Mock drills maintaining see different scenarios post COVID-19-19 are being held before commencement of the metro operation.

13. Metro Rail going to keep close liaison with State police, medical officials & regional administration for regulating hordes outdoor stations & to cope with contingencies.

1. Metro activities going to be resumed in graded way:

Stage-I

  • From seventh September 2024 onwards.
  • Corridor 1(Miyapur to LB Nagar) would be made operational.
  • Revenue solutions would be from 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs in in the morning & 1600 hrs to 2100 hrs in in the evening.

Stage-II

  • From eighth September 2024 onwards.
  • Corridor 3 (Nagole to Raidurgam) would also be made operational.
  • Revenue solutions would be from 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs in in the morning & 1600 hrs to 2100 hrs in in the evening.

Stage-III

  • From ninth September 2024 onwards.
  • All this 3 Corridors (C1, C2 & C3) would be made operational.
  • Revenue solutions would be from 0700 hrs to 2100 hrs in in the evening.

2. Frequency of trains going to be about Five min; It’ll be enhanced (or) decreased on the basis of passenger traffic & to avoid crowding.

3. Stations in confinement areas going to be closed: Gandhi Hospital (3), Bharat Nagar, Moosapet, Musheerabad & Yusufguda.
