Ottawa: Canada is expanding the travel ban for foreigners till Oct 31 because of the new coronavirus epidemic, People Safety Minister Bill Blair stated in an announcement.

The order doesn’t apply to some of the US nationals, temporary foreign labour sanctioned by this federal govt & different select persons, involving diplomats & airplane crews.
Stringent isolation procedures
The stringent isolation procedures upon entry in Canada going to remain in place. As of Mar 25, Isolation Act violators may be subject to a fine of as many as $537,000 &/(or) a prison sentence within the duration of 6 mos.
In addition, in case a violator is identified to have contributed to a risk of demise of the other person, they could be subject to a fine of as many as $720,000 &/(or) a prison term of 3 yrs..
