India Coronavirus Cases Update: MP’s Bhopal has become the 2nd district in the state, following Indore, to command a full lockdown of all shops except medicines & milk.
Over 500 COVID-19 cases have already been reported in the last 24 hours, which makes the total cases cross the 3,500 mark, the HM (Health Ministry) stated on Sunday evening.
Minimum 83 demises have already been connected to the coronavirus & 275 citizens have already been discharged afterward receiving treatment.
On Friday India recorded the maximum number of new cases (601) and deaths (12) amid a surge connected to some contentious religious gathering in Delhi.
Over 1,000 people who attended last month, the spiritual held by team Tablighi Jamaat at Delhi also have tested positive, the authorities said on Saturday.
Millions were taken off lights and lit diyas (earthen lamps) and candles, burst firecrackers, chanted slogans and cried and cheered in their balconies Sunday night, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to “challenge the shadow spread from the coronavirus catastrophe”.
On Sunday the Prime Minister talked to two former Presidents and Prime Ministers and senior opposition leaders, such as Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The phone calls came about two months after he purchased a three-week”complete lockdown” to restrain the spread of this virus – a lockdown criticised by the opposition that hadn’t been consulted about the topic.
Sources said the calls were a part of outreach about the lifting of this lockdown.
The Health Ministry published details of an aggressive strategy to counter the spread of this COVID-19 virus, such as alternatives to announce buffer zones and seal off high-risk regions for as long as the month.
The plan is supposed to include the virus by early detection of cases in a geographical place and breaking the chain of transmission. When no new cases are reported following the evaluation that is confirmed the containment will soon be relieved.
