Amaravati: AP’s COVID-19-19 caseload shot as many as 3,45,216 on Sat. with 10,276 extra citizens testing positive(+ve), awhile 97 new fatalities urged its COVID-19 number of deaths to 3,189, health authorities stated.
AP is the 3rd worst affected state within the nation after Maharashtra(MH) & TN in terms of the amount of COVID-19-19 instances & the 5th within the largest death toll after Maharashtra(MH), TN, Karnataka(KA) & Delhi(DL).
As per an announcement by this health dept., 13 fatalities have been recorded from Chittoor dist., 11 from Anantapur dist. & 10 from Nellore. Eight citizens every ceded in East Godavari, West Godavari, Kadapa, Kurnool & Prakasam dists, six every in Guntur & Visakhapatnam, five in Srikakulam & Three every in Krishna & Vizianagaram dists.
During this last 24 hours, 1,321 instances have been recorded from that East Godavari dist.. Up to 1,220 instances have been recorded from Chittoor, 1,033 from West Godavari, 1,020 from Anantapur, 943 from Nellore, 850 from Kurnool, 693 from Prakasam.
The period also saw 8,593 citizens recovering from that infection. With this the cumulative recoveries rose to 2,52,638. The recovery rate within the state stands in 72.86 percent over the domestic average of 74.30 percent.
The state as of now has 89,389 active instances with maximum 16,707 active instances in East Godavari, succeeded by 9,938 in Chittoor, 7,237 in Kurnool & 7,115 in Vizianagaram.
During this last 24 hours ending Nine a.m. Sat., the officials held 61,469 tests. With this the state has till now tested 31,91,326 samples.
AP stands 4th after WP, TN & Maharashtra(MH) in the amount of tests. Although, it ranks 1st in terms of tests per mln with a figure of 59,763. With a 10.82 percent positivity rate, it fares best than states like Maharashtra(MH) (18.79 percent), Karnataka(KA) (11.43) & Telangana (TL) (11.72).
