Hyderabad(Hyd): Telangana (TS) Rashtra Samithi (TRS) member assaulted the convoy of BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind in Warangal Urban dist. on Sun.
Angry over specific remarks made by this Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader over CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao in an information conference, a member of TRS hurled stones & eggs on his own convoy.
The MP escaped unhurt within the incident, that took place when Lok Sabha MP from Nizamabad has been coming out of BJP workplace after solving a information conference. Rising slogans over Arvind, TRS labour attempted to block the convoy.
When the police attempted to block them, they assaulted the convoy. The protesters also attempted to barge into BJP workplace, leading to a clash between the 2 teams.
Supporters of both the parties exchanged blows. Police intervened to curb the status & arrested the TRS labour.
Opposing the attack, BJP chiefs & labour marched towards the home of regional TRS MLA Vinay Bhaskar to phase a sit-in. Police suspended them, leading to tension. Police detained the protesters.
Previously, solving the information conference Arvind claimed that in a time when citizens have been facing a crises because of COVID-19, the chief minister has been taking rest in his own farm home. He also said that the Center’s BJP-led govt has been not been able to support the state because of the chief minister’s carelessness.
The MP also made allegations of corruption over the chief minister & his own family (4) members.
Meantime, Union Minister of State for House G. Kishan Reddy has condemned the attack on Arvind. “Firmly condemn the attack on MP from Nizamabad by TRS labour. This attack imparts credence to the truth that opposition in TS is being constantly & systematically suppressed in each way possible, regarding that I also apprised the concerned police authorities,” Reddy tweeted.
BJP gen. secretary P. Muralidhar Rao stated that the attack on BJP MP by TRS goons is greatly condemnable. “TRS doesn’t gain politically by attacking BJP chiefs. BJP grows in suppression,” he stated.
State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay also condemned the attack on Arvind’s convoy. He stated awhile citizens of Telangana (TL) have been scared of COVID-19, the chief minister has been scared of the BJP.
Sanjay alerted the TRS that in case it resorts to targets, BJP going to be obliged to give a befitting reply. He said that the attack on the MP’s convoy has been pre-planned.
