Damascus, August 30 : Syrian President Bashar al-Assad instructed the formation of a new govt on Sun., maintaining top Ministers unchanged, as per the state press agency SANA.
The top unchanged Ministers contain Minister of Defence Ali Abdullah Ayyoub, Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem, & Interior Minister Mohammad Khaled al-Rahmoun.
The Syrian Cabinet is made up of 29 Ministers apart from PM Hussein Arnous.
On Aug 25, Assad instructed Arnous, PM of the recent govt, to form a new govt, Xinhua press agency recorded.
On Jun 11, Assad sacked previous PM Emad Khamis & called Arnous, also Minister of Water Resources, as the acting PM.
As per Syrian law, the formation of a new govt follows the parliamentary elections that occurred in Jul.
