Hyderabad(Hyd): A portion of Road No. one in Jubilee Hills nearby metro rail pillar caved in on Fri. as a consequence a truck had a narrow flee in 11 am. AS Rao Nagar main road had also caved in on Wed. noon.
Traffic police observed the pit & cautioned the Hyderabad(Hyd) Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSandamp;SB). The road has been immediately barricaded. After inspecting the website, the water board authorities noticed that the incident took place to sewer water leaking from that main sewer trunk.
TOI quoted M Prabhu, the HMWSandamp;SB gen. manager, Oandamp;M Division-VI (SR Nagar) as informing, “Water board had moved the water & sewerage network at the moment of metro rail pillars building. However the water has managed to leak from that trunk main & the board is now in the procedure of rectifying it.”
It taken nearly 6 hours to track damaged sewer trunk. Water Board authorities stated that the manholes on the stretch have been buried throughout laying of roads under Comprehensive Road Maintenance Program (CRMP).
The other water board officer blamed incessant rains in this city for the past 2 days for the occurring of sink-hole incidents. Earth movers have been deployed in the website. 10 metres length of sewer trunk has been replaced by late night. The traffic of the stretch has been diverted to an alternate road.
