Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat is alive, states Milap Zaveri who had previously tweeted that the Drishyam director had moved far away in Hyderabad(Hyd). Kamat has been confessed to AIG hospital (3) in Gachibowli, Hyderabad(Hyd).

Although, Zaveri afterwards tweeted that the filmmaker is still on ventilator. He tweeted, “Just spoke to someone who’s with Nishikant within the hospital (3) now.
He hasn’t moved far away yet. Yes he’s v crucial & fighting personal life & demise. However he’s still alive” The other tweet read, “Sadly the end seems inevitable anytime shortly. However now Nishikant is still on ventilator”
Nishikant Kamat is well-known for directing Bollywood movies like the Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer “Drishyam”, Irrfan Khan-starrer “Madaari” & the John Abraham starrers “Enforce” & “Rocky Handsome”,
amongst remaining. He made his own directorial entry with Marathi movie ‘Dombivali Fast’ in 2005.
He’s also instructed critically acclaimed Marathi movies like his own “Lai Bhaari”. He also featured as a star within the Marathi movie “Saatchya Aat Gharat” & his own 2016 directorial “Rocky Handsome”.
