Maharashtra Congress Protests Against Oil Price Hike

Mumbai (Bombay): The Maharashtra(MH) Congress staged rallies around the state on Mon. over the rise in fuel costs, & insisted roll back of the hike.

A Sr. party leader stated citizens have been already hit tough by this coronavirus-induced lock-down, hence in such a time the Center must lessen the fuel costs.

Multiple Congress ministers, involving Balasaheb Thorat, Ashok Chavan & Nitin Raut, staged a dissent in the party workplace in Mumbai (Bombay).

“The petrol & diesel costs were rised by this Center in last some of the days. The costs must be slashed as citizens are already affected by this lock-down, stated Thorat, who’s the Maharashtra(MH) Congress president & the state revenue minister.

Previous chief minister Prithviraj Chavan commanded a dissent in Sangli with state minister Vishwajit Kadam.

Apart from, state minister Satej Patil staged a dissent over the fuel cost hike in Kolhapur.

Diesel cost scaled a new high on Mon. after costs have been hiked for the 22nd time in just over 3 weeks, taking the cumulative rise to INR 11.14 per liter.

Petrol cost has been rised by five paise per liter & diesel 13 paise a liter around the nation, as per a cost notice of state oil marketing businesses.

Awhile the diesel rates were hiked for the 22nd time from Jun 7, petrol cost was rised on 21 occasions.
