Gurugram: The Gurugram Police on Wed. stated they’ve detained 2 people for on-line betting on an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match.
The charged have been detained from Industry-107 in Gurugram, they stated, adding that criminalizing material has been also captured from them.
The material included a suitcase, eight mobile phones, a notebook, a laptop & a pen drive.
The detained culprits have been detected as 27-year-old Virender & 35-year-old Rakesh Kaushik, both locals of Nangloi in Delhi(DL).
“On the basis of particular inputs, the police raided the location & captured the duo when they have been placing bets on an IPL match being performed between Rajasthan(RJ) Royals & Chennai Super Kings,” stated Subhash Boken, spokesman of the Gurugram Police.
“The police have lodged a complaint within the Prevention of Gambling Act in the Rajendra Park PS (police station) in Gurugram. Furthermore inquiry is on,” he stated.
