- Amaravati: Hours after the information of a complaint lodged by this Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in AP (AP) pertaining to the sale of land in Amravati, the AP High Court(H.C) has released an injunction over any media reporting of the FIR & its contents.
The High Court(H.C) in its gag order observed the plea of the petitioner’s counsel that the registration of the FIR in query has been — “immediately projected over the social media(SM) & news papers over the petitioner & also 2 daughters of a sitting Judge of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India(In), amounting to scandalizing the authority with a mala fide ambition, by way of media trial. In see of the stated facts, prayer is made not to take (2) any coercive steps based on registration of FIR involving inquiry after filing of the writ petition & its publication within the print, electronic & social media(SM).”
In a sensational development (devt) that sent shockwaves across legal fraternity, the ACB on Tue. provided notices to family (4) of a serving Supreme Court Judge with the previous Extra Advocate Gen. of AP & his own relatives over gaining a pecuniary advantage in securing land in a prime spot in AP’s capital city.
The DG of ACB in AP got a case from a human called Komatla Srinivas Reddy accusing numerous top judicial & govt functionaries of utilizing their own respective positions to illegally garner profits by entering info regarding the spot of the capital of AP & subsequently acquiring lands in menial costs. This essentially amounts to ‘insider trading’.
