Hyderabad(Hyd): Telangana (TL) Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & Nalgonda MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the party would organize rallies over the raising costs of petrol & diesel on Jul four & over inflated power invoices on Jul 6.
Solving the Congress cadres using Facebook(FB) on Fri., Uttam Kumar Reddy requested to them to attend in both the rallies in huge numbers awhile following the COVID-19 instructions of wearing face masks & keeping social distance.
Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the Congress party would organize rallies in Mandal HQ (headquarters), Towns & Municipalities on Jul four & submit a memorandum to the President of India(In) using the concerned authorities.
He also said that the dissent has been being organised in the domestic level on the directions of the AICC President Sonia Gandhi. He inquired the party cadre to carry out hour-long dharnas from 11 am onwards in Tehsil offices within the Mandal HQ (headquarters) & in the municipality offices in towns.
He inquired them to submit memorandums discussed to the President, Tehsildars & Municipal Commissioners concerned. Thereafter, the Congress chiefs must upload the video footage & photo clippings of agitation on the social media(SM) platforms like Facebook(FB), Twitter, & and so on. in the context of the ‘Speak Up’ program.
The TPCC Chief asserted that the BJP-led NDA Govt has been expanding the benefit of drop in global costs of crude oil to the common person. He pointed out that during this UPA’s regime in 2004-05, the cost of petrol has been INR. 30 per liter & diesel has been INR. 25 per liter awhile crude oil costed $40 per barrel. The fuel costs within the nation have been rised when crude oil had become costlier.
He stated the cost of crude oil within the Intl. market today stands in $40. However the Modi Govt hasn’t extended the benefit to the common citizens. Instead, it rised the excise work to load them. Similarly, he stated the CM KCR Govt has been collecting the largest Worth Added further Tax (VAT) on petrol & diesel within the nation that boosted petrol & diesel costs to INR. 83.49 per liter & INR. 78.69 liter respectively within the present-day.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also condemned the TRS Govt for the inflated power invoices charged to the citizens for the lock-down period. He stated every & each family (4) within the state got invoices that are 2 to 4 times higher than the average. He stated a massive dissent would be conducted on Jul Six insisting waiver of power invoices for the poverty-stricken users & reduction in bill money for the middle class. He inquired the party cadre to organize dissent with black flags & badges. Rallies going to be conducted before the offices of power companies in all Assembly & Dist. HQ (headquarters), he stated.
The TPCC Chief insisted that the state govt waive off the power bill for 2 mos of the lock-down period for those having White Ration Cards. Furthermore, he insisted that the present non-telescopic technique of invoicing be replaced with the telescopic technique. This would lessen the bill money by almost 50 percent for everyone users.
Manmohan Singh, Pranab Mukherjee to deliver talk on PVNR on Jul 24
