Hyderabad(Hyd): Telangana (TL) High Court(H.C) has released notices to the govt, revenue dept. & Telangana (TL) State Waqf Board (TSWB), seeking reply in a PIL that charged religious officials with not allowing bodies of COVID-19 sufferers to be buried. Although the complaint has been published for furthermore hearing in 2 weeks.
Chief Jusitice Telangana (TL) High Court Raghavendra Singh Chauhan & Justice B Vijayasen Reddy after hearing a complaint registered by Abid Rasool Khan, previous chairman of the Telangana (TL) State Minorities Commission, who took to the circular of the court the plight of Muslims during this ongoing epidemic where officials weren’t allowing sufferers’ bodies to be buried in the notified graveyards.
Abid Rasool Khan pushed the Mgmt of Waqf committee to be entrusted to revenue authorities during this ongoing crises. After the hearing the bench appointed adv. Sanisetti Venkateswarlu as amicus-curiae to help the court.
